Plus we invite other arts and educational programs to join us in Red Rainbow! Come join trombonist Ben Williams and special guests for MUSIC WITH TBONE & FRIENDS, as we explore the many joys of music in this unique hands-on class. Using live and recorded examples, the students will experience the inner workings of music in a relaxed atmosphere, and will get in some music making (and instrument building!) fun of their own. Some sample activities include rhythm games, instrument demonstrations, hearing stories of music and musicians, exposure to music both new and unfamiliar, and how to "think like a musician." Each student will receive a CD of the music we will cover for the whole family to enjoy!
The class is led by musician and educator Ben Williams, a professional jazz trombonist who has been teaching his innovative approach to music to children of all ages and abilities for more than 20 years. focus of creative expression. The class is theme based to encompass learning from movement, math, and music components of the whole Red Rainbow program.
